Nina Parsee
Sociology MA student at Columbia University.

Her thesis investigates the influence of institutional power and structural dynamics on the administration of justice in Family Court, particularly regarding domestic violence cases. Her exploration delves into how the criminal legal system interprets and applies concepts of violence and protection. Nina has conducted research at Columbia Law School and UCLA’s Luskin School of Public Affairs, and she has participated in the UCLA Prison Education Program, learning inside correctional facilities.

Before attending Columbia University, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
