Selena Sanchez
Selena Sanchez
Third-year student at Columbia University studying sociology and human rights

Selena's interests include inequality in higher education, the replication of the carceral state within New York City public schools, and political activism that gives way to legislative action. Being raised in Manhattan has shaped the work she has done, including organizing required Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion workshops within her sorority’s chapter on campus. She enjoys exploring new aspects of the city—food, music, and culture—and appreciating the people and history associated with them.
