Chris leads communication design and curation for Incite Institute, including on projects including the Obama Presidency Oral History and the Baldwin-Emerson Elders Project. His practice combines experiential design, graphic design, oral history, and machine learning to make archives accessible, equitable, and beautiful. In 2023, Chris' oral history and design research was awarded a Jeffrey H. Brodsky Oral History Award in Methodology.
Prior to joining Incite, Chris held several roles in the tech, media, and telecom industries, including as an exhibition designer for Disney Channel and Cartoon Network. Pandza also interned under the late Katharine Mulherin, supporting her exhibitions in Toronto and New York.
Chris has presented his work at Cornell University, Columbia University, Yale University, the Northeastern Public Humanities Consortium, and the Oral History Association. His storytelling work has been featured in The New York Times, The Globe and Mail, MSNBC, and NPR, and has been honored by the Webby Awards and the New Jersey Society of Professional Journalists.
