Farrah Muhammad is a junior at Yale University majoring in Black Studies with an Education Studies Certificate. She is interested in reading Black literature to examine the production of and resistance to state violence, as well as centering the perspectives of women activists, writers, and survivors within broader analyses of the carceral state. Originally from Iowa, she now calls Arizona home, and her experiences have shaped her commitment to amplifying marginalized voices and engaging in work that challenges systems of incarceration and surveillance.
